THE CAMERA PANS ACROSS A NIGHT SKY, FULL OF STARS EXT. FOREST - NIGHT

In a forest, two ATVs race along a path, faces concealed by helmets and bright headlights. The lead ATV slows and stops, gesturing to the other rider.

RIDER

  Hey, hold on! I gotta take a leak!

The rider dismounts and walks into the woods.

The second rider stops and pulls off her helmet to reveal long brown hair.

GIRL RIDER

  Hurry up, Craig! My Dad's gonna kill us as it is!

EXT - HIGHWAY - NIGHT

An OPP cruiser flashes its lights and pulls over a beat up pickup truck. As the camera pans around we get a view of Calvin peeing on a Chevy logo in a decal on the back window. A COP gets out of the cruiser and walks around to the driver's window of the truck.

COP

  Damn it, Luke! You been drinking again? You know how fast you were goin'?

LUKE, a disheveled middle-aged man in a plaid jacket with a worn ballcap squints in the Cop's flashlight beam.

LUKE

  Aw, Hell, man. I'm fine. I'm just in a hurry to get home. To the kids. I got dinner here!

Luke holds up a greasy bag of fast food from a burger joint. The bag breaks and a mickey of whisky falls out.

LUKE

  Oops.

COP

  Okay, that's enough, Luke. I gotta take you in for this. I'll call Maggie and get her to come pick up the truck.

EXT - COTTAGE - NIGHT

A woman in her late 20s, JOAN is in the backyard of a cottage style house, looking through a telescope. Her young son, MIKEY is looking through binoculars.

JOAN

  And see there, that's the Big Dipper right there...

MIKEY

  I see it mommy! Like a big spoon! But mommy, what's that one? The big green one?

JOAN

  Which one? 

Mikey pushes the telescope to the left slightly.

MIKEY

  There!

JOAN

  There shouldn't be anything there... Wait, it's getting closer! Oh Shi-!!!

There is a FLASH OF GREEN LIGHT, and Joan and Mikey are knocked to the grass. A fist sized rock hits the ground a flares green.

EXT. FOREST - NIGHT

CRAIG and the female rider, LISA are leaning in to kiss each other when there is a flash of green lights, and they are knocked to the ground. A rock smacks into a tree, knocking it on to one of the ATVs, then flares green.

EXT - HIGHWAY - NIGHT

The Cop is dragging Luke towards his cruiser. The sky flashes green and a rock smacks into the hood before flashing green. Both men are thrown to the ground.

There is a MONTAGE of close-ups of Luke, Lisa and Mikey. Each one sits up, opens their eyes and mouths and green light shoots forth from both.

EXT - COTTAGE - NIGHT

Mikey is floating three feet off the ground MIKEY

  Mommy, lookit what I can do!

JOAN

  Michael Jason Amonides, you come down here right this instant!

EXT. FOREST - NIGHT

Lisa stands up, and there is a play of green light on the ground as flowers and greenery sprout from the ground. Craig is staring at the smashed ATV.

CRAIG

  Oh man! My ride!

LISA

  Babe, I think we've got bigger problems here!

Craig turns, eyes widening as the plants surround Lisa, who is smiling.

EXT - HIGHWAY - NIGHT

Luke stands turned away from the Cop and the camera. COP

  Luke, you okay? What the hell was that?

Luke turns towards us, his eyes glowing green. His hands ball into fists and flicker into green flames. From behind, we watch Luke advance towards the cop, who starts to scream.

VOICEOVER
