Diana Windsor was the daughter of [[wp>Prince William of Wales|King William V of Great Britain]].  As the only surviving child of William, Diana was the heir to the throne of Great Britain when that nation fell.  After the exodus to North America, Diana married [[King William Rockefeller I|William Rockefeller]], legitimizing Rockefeller's claim to royalty during the formation of the [[Empire of America]].
